2030 is fast approaching, and the target set by the Digital Decade — 20 million ICT specialists in Europe — remains an ambitious challenge. The Code4Europe initiative brings together European stakeholders in digital skills, including the youth education sector, civil society, the digital industry, and governments, to jointly advance an innovative approach to building digital competencies among young Europeans.
The national hub coordinator for Code4Europe in Poland is the Coalition for Polish Innovation (KPI).
Code4Europe Project Goals
The primary goal of the Code4Europe project is to create a sustainable, scalable, and effective educational initiative that enables young people to acquire digital competencies and find their place in the rapidly growing ICT industry.

A key tool for achieving Code4Europe’s objectives is the EU Code Week initiative. Within EU Code Week, educational events are organised to engage children and young people in learning to code and developing digital skills.
Anyone can organise their own event or participate in listed activities — simply choose a topic and target group, then add your activity to the map or search for events happening nearby.
EU Code Week has set an ambitious goal of reaching 25 million young people within two years (01.07.2024 – 30.06.2026). The effectiveness of this effort has been strengthened by refreshing the initiative’s foundations and introducing new features and directions.
Priority areas include:
The initiative retains its bottom-up character while maintaining alignment with its core values and strengthening the existing Code Week community.
Activities carried out within EU Code Week should focus primarily on:

We present three recordings prepared in collaboration with Anna Świć — an educator who has spent years passionately demonstrating that coding can be simple, creative, and accessible to everyone.
The first video is a practical step-by-step guide on how to log in to the CodeWeek platform and get started with this European initiative. The two following videos offer a set of inspiring activities designed to develop logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving — key competencies for 21st-century education.
The recordings were created to support both children and adults in discovering that programming is more than just technology. It’s play, skill-building, and a way to nurture curiosity about the world. These materials show how anyone can easily incorporate elements of coding into everyday learning and shared activities.
